Shmulik Raz passed away in Israel on January 28th 2016
Shmuel Raz, or as he was known by his colleagues as “Shmulik”, began
working for Scitex in the mid seventies.
Towards the end of 1979, he relocated to Brussels, Belgium with his
family. At that time Brussels was the Scitex European service center.
While he was staying there, he went through a devastating car
accident, which resulted in hospitalization for three months in Sweden
and Belgium. Two months out of these he spent unconscious.
After his rehabilitation process, he returned to work as the service
manager in Brussels.
In 1984 he returned with his family to Israel and continued working in
Scitex throughout all its takeovers. He retired in 2006, and was
immediately diagnosed with cancer. He coped and fought his disease
ever since till the day he passed away.
Shmulik was always loved by his friends and colleagues and was known
for his kind and generous heart. He was a true, honest family man, a
real mensch and left behind a wife, two daughters and four
grandchildren, who were the apple of his eyes.
May he rest in peace !
