Two Ex-STA ExScite?s are among the DDAP (Digital
Distribution of Advertising for Publications) executive committee leadership.

Barbara Hanapole
is the Executive Director of the DDAP Association which
promotes the Digital Distribution of Advertising for Publications. In addition,
she is President of B2 Marketing, a marketing consultant group specializing in
strategic planning, promotion and event management for high tech companies.
Previously, Barbara chaired the Digital Ad Lab. She also worked as the Corporate
Marketing Director for NEC, Inc. of Nashville, TN and as a Business Development
Manager for Scitex America focusing on the publishing industry.
Frank Scott,
a Consultant, and Digital WorkFlow Specialist has over 25 years experience in
the printing and publishing industry, specializing in digital workflows. He was
the VP, Director of Research at Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, Director of
Digital Development at Time Inc. and VP of Technology at Applied Graphics
Technologies in Washington DC. He was 2.5 years at Scitex America. Frank has
been a frequent speaker at Seybold Seminars and the DDAP Annual Conference.

Association is a leading graphic arts industry group
charged with promoting “Universal Exchange of Advertising through Open Process
Integration and Accredited Standards”. With the focus on digital delivery of
advertising, this group advocates the use of accredited file formats in digital
workflows and supports our members’ transition to digital ads through the
development of educational tools and seminars and consultation to build solid
business practices. The next DDAP conference will take place on March 12-15,
2003 in New Orleans LA.

After five intensive and successful years as President of Orbotech in Brussels Belgium, Chanoch Biran will return to Israel and be appointed to the position of Corporate Vice President of Business Development & Marketing at the company’s HQ in Yavne. Chanoch managed Orbotech’s European subsidiary during years of extensive growth, in which our traditional business in the PCB Inspection industry was booming and, in parallel diversified into the Component Assembly Inspection market. The ExScite Chanoch (Ex-STCL, STE, Leaf, STA) will be returning with his ExScite wife Mandy Biran-Meyer (Ex-STCL) and their two children.
Orbotech Ltd. Before Send2Post Eli had a distinguished career at Scitex Corporation where he most recently served as R&D Director for the company’s Digital Printing Division. He was also the lead R&D Software Manager for the software team developing desktop applications for the Macintosh.

Gidi Binyamini

Gidi Benyamini has joined Notal Vision as COO. Gidi had spent 7 years at Scitex in Israel. Located in Tel Aviv Israel, Notal Vision Ltd. develops Macular Computerized Psychophysical Test, which provides early detection, referral and treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration. These are critical to prevent vision loss and to maximize treatment benefits.
AMD is the leading cause of blindness in the developed world among people over the age of 50. About 14 million people in the US suffer from AMD and it is the cause of blindness among 1.7 million Americans.
Notal Vision’s MCPT is currently being clinically verified by prominent ophthalmology clinics. Availability of the product is expected in early 2002, after FDA approval.

Philip_Lavee

Following the merger of his old company Zing and a division of Conexant, Philip Lavee as been appointed VP, Sales and Business Development Of Pictos.
Philip has 18 years experience in digital imaging and printing. He has most recently served as President at Zing Network, which he joined in December 1999. Prior to that, as VP Business Development, he helped make Zing one of the best-known online imaging sites in the world. Previously, he was President of Pix.com, following a tenure as Director of Sales and Marketing at Leaf and at Scitex America. Before STA, Philip was at the input division at Scitex in Herzlia, Israel.
Pictos Technologies Inc., a $25M company, headquartered in Newport Beach, California, with offices in Scotts Valley, California and Galway, Ireland. The privately held company created by the July 2002 spin-off of the Personal Imaging Division of Conexant Systems combined with Zing Network, a provider o advanced connectivity and imaging software. Pictos? mission is to provide consumer digital camera and mobile appliance OEMs semiconductor and software solutions that enable users to capture, connect and share digital images and video.

Hezi
Himelfarb
is the CEO of Ceseara Israel based Remon Medical Technologies.
Hezi was with Scitex in Herzlia from 1982 to 1996.
Remon Medical Technologies, an Israeli
startup, develops minute, chip-based devices that are implanted
deep in the body for wireless, non-invasive disease management and treatment.
Remon devices can work either as sensors for measuring and monitoring bodily
medical parameters such as internal pressure, blood flow, and temperature, or as
activators of drug delivery and other medical devices.
Remon has acknowledged that it is raising a $15-million third round of funding
and expects to launch its product at the end of the year. Hezi Himelfarb said
the company has already received a $10-million commitment. The company
previously raised $3 million in its seed round, and $10 million in its second
round.

Rony_Shmulevitch

Rony Shmulevitch serves as Idioma?s VP Sales and marketing. Prior to Idioma, Rony managed the Business Development of a start-up company developing a rich media delivery solution to Cellular and Wireless devices, and has also managed the European sales operations of NICE Systems, a worldwide leader of multimedia digital recording applications and services for business interaction management. Earlier, Rony spent 8 years with Scitex in Israel and in Australia. 
Located in Herzlia (just across the street from Scitex) Idioma is an Israeli startup, which specializes in audio and video information monitoring and retrieval technologies. Using its audio and video technologies, Idioma has developed SmartLog – a family of cutting-edge products for tracking, storing, indexing and retrieving media information. Idioma’s SmartLog systems are currently installed over four continents.
